Connect A Book

Form connections between books, readers, authors and more

About the project

This new online service helps users make connections between books in a few clicks. Readers are enabled to vote for featured connections with discussions and that is how new books can be easily promoted on the Internet.

Key features

  • Сonnections appear on the site in the same format as on the ProductHunt website.
  • Easily filter the connections using various tags.
  • Promote the new books on the Internet.

Prototype

We started our work with the client from prototyping the idea. The tool we used for prototyping was Mockingbird.

Case study

The user's workflow can be described in the following way:

Readers may view all popular connections and join them.

Users can share, comment, upvote or share any connection they like.

Readers may add multiple connections to a book and this is how other people will get new ideas what is worth reading next.

Authors will get notifications about new activities around their connections.

We used ‪‎Ruby‬ and Ruby on Rails for back-end and ‪‎Angular‬.js for front-end.
