The user's workflow can be described in the following way:
The service's premise is pretty simple: it connects its users with nearby storage units so that they may safely, securely, and inexpensively store items of value for them and their families.
The user can start searching for desirable facilities by typing US ZIP code. In search results, the user looks through a list of available facilities including their prices and sizes. In addition, the user may search for storages over an interactive map. New information updated immediately on the right part of the window.
The user may pick up a preferable size of a facility by clicking on a certain button in "Unit Size" bar.
Storage's page provides the user with detailed information about the service, such as office and access hours, available size, and price of facilities.
It is really easy to make a one-click reservation of any facility after submitting date and contact information.
Facilities' owners can easily manage all information about their storage: to fill in and edit information in a single window, to update images and working/access hours, and to see all new reservations.
The owner can view all incoming reservations and check the status of each customer order "paid", "confirmed" etc.
We used Ruby on Rails for back-end and Angular.js for front-end to develop the service. Additionally, we used Google Earth API (Earth Distance library for PostgreSQL) for calculating facilities' geo location.
