Two things stand out once you line them up. Thoughtly's own list of best AI phone agents ranks Thoughtly first. Buildium's own list of best AI property management tools ranks Buildium's platform first. Neither discloses that in the piece. That's the same conflict we flag below about Retell grading its own platform comparison, one layer up.
The second thing: not one of these eleven products' comparison pages mentions Synthflow, VAPI, Bland AI, Retell AI, or GoHighLevel. Vendors selling a finished product have no reason to name the platforms competing underneath them, and platform comparisons have no reason to mention property management at all. That gap is why a property manager researching "AI receptionist" options usually only sees half the market.

The other layer, voice AI platforms you'd build a custom receptionist on, has the exact same problem. You won't get a clean answer here either, because every platform comparison online has a stake in the outcome.
We looked at one representative property management guide and one representative platform comparison. The property management guide named zero voice platforms. It talked about integrations with Buildium, AppFolio, and Rent Manager, and never mentioned Synthflow, VAPI, Bland, or Retell once. The platform comparison, published by Retell AI, never mentioned property management, real estate, or a tenant once, and named Retell the winner in six of its own seven comparison categories, cost, integrations, and compliance among them. The one category it gave away was voice quality and latency, which it scored for Synthflow. That's not neutral analysis. That's a company reviewing its own homework and still finding a reason to come out on top.

It cites no external source or study anywhere in the piece. Every claim traces back to the vendors' own marketing.
Haven AI's comparison goes further on one number specifically: it states that 40% of maintenance calls get misrouted as emergencies industry-wide, attributed to Property Meld. The figure isn't linked, and we couldn't locate the underlying study to verify it. If that number is real, it's the single most important stat in this market, because emergency misrouting is exactly the failure mode the six-call test is built to catch. If it isn't sourced, it doesn't belong in this article as fact, so we're naming it here instead of quietly reusing it.
Buildium's roundup cites nothing external at all. Its five-step selection framework (assess portfolio size, identify pain points, check integrations, consider budget, review support quality) is generic enough to apply to any AI tool in any industry, not specific to the six calls a property management receptionist has to pass.

Test GoHighLevel's native voice AI first if that's already your CRM. You're not adding a vendor, you're using one you already pay for. For finer control over interruption handling or a more complex call stack, Synthflow or VAPI give you that, at the cost of a second platform to manage and a per-minute bill that grows with volume.
Custom makes sense when the six-call framework is the whole point, not an afterthought.
